Q: I was looking at your website before and after gallery. I have varicose veins in my leg that look like the bottom image in your gallery. Did that patient require surgery and what is the approximate cost and recovery time?
A: It’s amazing how many of our patients come to us through the visual recognition of “their legs” in our gallery of before and after photos. Many not realizing that there is something that can be done to treat their varicose veins! Not one of the photos in our gallery required surgery; instead we use a combination of EVLT (Endovenous Laser Treatment) and Sclerotherapy to treat patients with symptomatic varicose veins and venous ulcerations.
A patient’s out of pocket costs will depend solely on insurance coverage and the treatment plan, so it is best to let our experts evaluate the extent of disease, and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs.
Recovery time is minimal! After treatment, patients should limit their activities to low impact for 2 weeks post procedure, avoiding anything that requires putting pressure on their legs and/or engage their abdominals. After this time frame, you are back to your regular routine.
